Bol Kites
As some of you may know last June, 2014, 1st Annual Victoria Kite Festival at Clover Point, The 2nd Annual festival was on May 29 – 31 - 2015. One of the events at the festival was the children’s bol kite races. See link for a short video of the prior year's Bol Kite Races [http://youtu.be/2PusAZkjuOo]. For the 2015 event kite maker, Mario De Lucca worked on making a set of these bol kites for the Club to use at its various festivals. He requested help by anyone willing to share in the making of them, or by donating some material. Each bol has 48 panels and takes approximately 3.5 yards of material of any colour.I took this video in 2012 on my older, slower and less 'dense' 480p Sony Video Camera.
With more modern cameras and computers, since 2013, I now do most all of my photographic and videographic work in Hi-Definition HD - 1080p (Pixels). Many of my followers, however, do not have a Hi Speed Internet connections and the images may be pixilated – see also Wikipedia example. Or, rasterised (blurry). There are a several easy ways for my followers to overcoming this problem.
- At the bottom right of any YouTube video click on the gear icon and change the quality of the image from HD 1080p, down to, say 144p, then try increasing it slowly.
- Both the governments of Alberta and British Columbia have made commitments to place Hi Speed Internet thought-out their respective provinces; as is the case in most other North American jurisdictions.
