What a Beautiful World - All Alone in the Night - Time-lapse footage of the Earth as seen from the ISS

Inspired by a version of the opening sequence of this clip called 'What does it feel like to fly over planet Earth?', David tracked down the original time-lapse sequence taken on the International Space Station (ISS) via NASA, found some additional ones there, including the spectacular Aurora Australis sequences, and set it to a soundtrack that almost matches the awe and wonder I feel when I see our home from above.

To those brave men and women who fly alone in the night to take us to the stars, we salute you.
.........................................

Sequences:

1. North-to-south down the western coast of North and South America.
2. North-to-south over Florida, the Bahamas and other Caribbean islands.
3. South-East Asia, approaching the Philippine Sea
4. Western Europe, from France through Italy, Greece, Turkey and the Middle East.
5. Aurora Australis, over the Indian Ocean, approaching Australia
6. Aurora Australis, over the Indian Ocean.
7. Aurora Australis, unknown location in the Southern Hemisphere.

Explanation from NASA: Many wonders are visible when flying over the Earth at night. A compilation of such visual spectacles was captured recently from the International Space Station (ISS) and set to rousing music. Passing below are white clouds, orange city lights, lightning flashes in thunderstorms, and dark blue seas. On the horizon is the golden haze of Earth's thin atmosphere, frequently decorated by dancing auroras as the video progresses. The green parts of auroras typically remain below the space station, but the station flies right through the red and purple auroral peaks. Solar panels of the ISS are seen around the frame edges. The ominous wave of approaching brightness at the end of each sequence is just the dawn of the sunlit half of Earth, a dawn that occurs every 90 minutes.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most powerful scientific instruments ever conceived. Hubble’s most important discoveries have provided answers to questions that astronomers did not yet know how to ask, and found objects that were not yet imagined. This installment of the "Hubble at 25" series looks at how Hubble far exceeds its original science goals and unveiled an even more complex and mysterious universe than once envisioned.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), is a space observatory under construction and scheduled to launch in October 2018. It has an expected mass about half of Hubble's, but its primary mirror (a 6.5 meter diameter gold-coated beryllium reflector) will have a collecting area about five times larger (25 m2 vs. 4.5 m2).

The JWST is a project of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the United States space agency, with international collaboration from the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency.

Beautiful Flowers with Instrumental Love Songs

Instrumental Love Songs

Thoughts turn to things
What our mind conceived, we can achieve.
Guard your mind. Guard what you think.
You have the power within.”

Answers to some questions we sometimes ask ourselves:
? I can only be me, and that is always good enough.
? Time with loved ones is worth more than anything money could ever buy.
? Beauty radiates from within; sit still to find your peace.
? Give your trust to those who are willing to fight for it.
? True friendships are unconditional.
? In the craziest of moments, just BREATHE.
? The only way to be happy is to truly love life: the beautiful moments AND the ugly ones.
? Each moment is a growth opportunity.
? Vulnerability is powerful.
? Forgiveness is freedom.
? It's not about how many times you've been knocked down, but how many times you've gotten up.
? It's ok to cry...and cry some more.
? You may not have control over what happens to you, but you do have control over your reaction.
? For one to become stronger, one must first CHOOSE strength.
? True success is not monetary.
? You don't need anyone to love you to make you feel worthy, you must do that yourself.

Stunningly Beautiful Meditative Music, Sounds and Videography; strung together in 54 videos

>>  SOUND ON  >>  FULL SCREEN

Timelapse Photography in High Definition (HD).
Playlist strung together by Jack Sörensen  >>  54 videos.

If you using a very old and slower Internet connection I do NOT recommend that you watch this at home.  High Definition (HD) are massive files. Go to a restaurant or the library in town, where they fo have HI SPEED Internet.

To select a specific individual video click on the PLAYLIST, upper left-hand corner, below.

My particular favorite is Number 6 - Views of this world from ISS - The International Space Station.

Superb footage of our British Columbia coast, before an M9+ Mega Quake and subsequent tsnami– 4:39 minutes

Filmed in high definition. This is mostly not far from my home. The city scenes are of Vancouver.
Enjoy! Amazingly, it was warmer here in the Vancouver area today, than in New Orleans on the Gulf Coast! But when one is already in Paradise…!

Best regards
