Yesterday morning there were more than 555 forest wildfires in BC. Most all BC is covered in forest fire smoke and the AQHI – Air Quality Index has often exceeded 10+ . We now have a Stage 4 Drought in much of our rain forest [Drought Information Bulletins ]. [Angling Closure Information Bulletins . ] The smoke is coming to Metro Vancouver from all points of the compass: - from the north: the entire region (CBC News Report); from east: Keremeos , the Okanagan Valley and Oregon and Washington State; from the south: from the west and south-west Washington Olympic Peninsula and most all of Vancouver Island.
